In addition to operating the latest generation Sound Devices 833 Mixer/Recorder and Lectrosonics wireless I’m now using the new Axient Digital wireless system by Shure. This fully digital wide-band system offers arguably the best sound quality, and reliability. Shure’s Showlink functionality allows remote control of transmitters, reducing the need to approach talent after they’re mic’ed. Additionally, my kit is made up of various mics from DPA, Sanken, and Sennheiser to suit a range of environments and voice types. This portable package allows me to handle a variety of production styles from narrative & commercials sets to run-n-gun documentaries.
